As a CSR initiative, DGVCL distributed a total of 44 nos. of computer-netbooks among three rural primary schools in Vyara Taluka, Tapi District. In this age of information technology, this effort is aimed to empower the students therein to learn more of computer functioning and their curriculum, themselves.

DGVCL ranked first under the category of ‘Uday Performance Award’ for the progress made for various parameters, at “5th Innovation with Impact Awards for Discoms” in November 2017, New Delhi. Also, for initiatives related to implementation of demand side management programs and increasing deployment of renewable energy, the Company ranked third under the category of ‘Green Grid Award’.

DGVCL was honoured with IPPAI Power Award under category of ‘Best Performing Distribution Company’ in October 2017, Belgaum, Karnataka.

DGVCL has earned the highest A+ grade amongst 41 State power distribution utilities of the country during the rating period FY 2015-16. Ministry of Power, GoI, declared this while making the Fifth Annual Integrated Ratings public in May 2017

Focusing on safety awareness, DGVCL has carried out a mass awareness campaign by putting up banners and hoardings across its jurisdiction.

DGVCL has fully operationalized its centralized customer care center 24 X 7 at Surat with Toll free number 1800-233-3003.Any consumer of DGVCL can register their complaint regrading power supply,billing,accident etc and get feedback also.Besides consumer can also know the status of their application for new connection ,change of name as well as change of load applications .
